Is there a cost to transfer the shares within two brokers under my ID number?

There is no cost to transfer shares between brokers using one ID - just a bit of time spent on doing the paperwork.

Stamp duties and various fees are only involved in the case of private transfers (usually between immediate family members) and if transferring to a Bank Margin Trading account.
