DFN. DFN never goes down. Time lag is around 0.1 sec almost all the time. There are many integrated features & graphical representations for every figure. A trade slows down in the afternoon (due to high user level). DFN ticker is the best one I have ever seen. CDAX has few interesting features. but compared to ATRADE , DFN is my pick.

Agree with above comments.

I was using Atrad and later they introduced DirectFN tws. Compared to Atrad, Directfn has lot of features. Atrad has just the basic features.

But I feel Atrad user interface is much better than Directfn (may be due to the colors). Since I have access to both, normally I use Atrad to watch the market and do other things with DirectFN.

Overall, I think DirectFN is good for a investor, with all these charts and many other features, which Atrad doesn't offer.

But if you consider only the very basic things (put buy/sell orders, view trades, order book, etc.. I like Atrad system may be because I am used to it)

In DFN the cost which shows includes the total cost including commission.
If you want you can edit this. But you cant include commission mkt price as far i know. This is suitable for investors since commission becomes irreverent in the long-run....

Contact your broker firm. You cant use your CDAX pw in DFN. you will get a 12digit user name and a pw. You can change that given password as you wish.

Me too started using dfn recently. Still studying about it.
As I have seen both these values are displayed without commission, as you have said (see the image)

You can change the average cost by right clicking and setting the value you want. But I think that get reset to the previous value when you login next time.

Not sure whether we can add commission to cost basis and market value.
But in the What if calculator under Analysis menu, there it consider the commissions. (I haven't use this, so not sure about the accuracy)

Is your broker Capital Trust? I think they are moving to directFN from Atrad. Might not use Atrad in the future..If you haven't got DirectFN yet, ask for it.
