Just changing hands, carefully avoiding the 30% limit.

So, there will be no offer to public.

... and  how many of you think Thais are fools  ?

Paying 10 billion to buy 30% of  8 billion worth assets ?

30 % x 8.6  = 2.58 billion

So these Thais are going to pay 10.6 billion to buy assets in Sri Lanka  worth 2.58 billion  ?

Thais in investing sector I know behave completely other way. They are smarter than most of Lankans

(In this  rare occasion I agree with Gainer. For me , I do not look at the names but facts people present and evaluate with general  laws of reality.  )

COCR has value.  normal this type of deal requesting 12 P/E

that is the ratio going.

after few years holding. improve profits then they will hand over this parcel to some one else.

there is business like this way.

they are not hopping to get dividend to cover all investments.

In case of possible takeover the rest at late stage, is there any hint given of the consideration. Whatever, the values indicated above leaves a puzzle on what valuation method the negotiations based on...........

No one can guess.

In 2014/15 another investor (Creation Investment)  valued it and successfully negotiated to buy this share @ 21 Rupees. Actually it was not a buying but issuing new shares thus increasing the NAVPS from 8/- to 19/-.

Now, in late 2016  NAVPS has grown from 19/- to 27/- and an another investor came and negotiated to buy those existing shares  @ 111/- .

500 % gain , what a  creation by Creation !.

Is this similar to the transaction happened between PCH and GREG ?
PCH bought GREG at very high price. GREG bought PCH at very high price. Otherwise we can say the transaction happened at normal price but they showed us prices higher than actual.
