Dear followers,

Buy finance company stocks and hold. CB has stopped issuing license for new finance companies.
Therefore all current companies are valuable. Just like COCR deal, many small companies will be acquired by banks or foreign companies. These days when prices dropped many finance stocks are now on bargain prices.

Goodluck,
Maharaja

Inconsistent policy changes still weaken the investors' confidence. No strong validation of CB statements as long as sloppy practice goes along.

I attend Central bank meeting last week and they confirmed in future no licence for finance companies...And Central bank going to implement to stop the finance companies charge high interest rate for Small loans under poverty elemination programme...Some companies charge morethen 35% interest rates for small loans.Instead of central bank interest subsidy loans @ the rate of 7% and 8% and Normal bank rates of 15%- 16% to develop Small and meadium entrepreners.Central bank also stop daily & weekly basis of loan collection...I think these things seriously affect the bottom line of the finance companies...

Micro finance loans are bit difficult to stop. bcz these loans are high risk then interest rates should be high. (35% is cannot accept. good value is 20-25% maximum, OD also taking 24% by Banks. then how come finance companies do high risk loans at 15-16%)

I like to discussed....

Anybody in the financial sector or investment management sector (should) know Finance companies are going to face the income drop crisis situation in 2 years time.
At the moment they rob innocent peoples money using loopholes in the regulations. They will have to face the Karma someday in near future.
But the crisis is not related to any karma. It is related to pyramid type of games and is a predictable situation.

Should CB expedite certain measures to monitor the exceeded rates results would be the low profits earned by finance companies. Further CB has no option other than the rate hike to meet rising inflation. So micro loans become expensive keeping small enterprises away that count impaired opportunities to financing companies. At this juncture the topic of merging finance companies would be seriously addressed to recoup the lost income but with uncertain time frame. .

Low interest rates concept is not yet  practical thing in srilanka until the governments in srilanka truly and practically encourage economic plans based on Manufacturing , production ( Industrial ) and also IT and tourism sector, Both governments have  tried this low interest  policy in the past but things like excessive borrowings and fear of credit bubble spoilt the attempts of  low interest scheme concepts. Yes true The CB is trying all this time to do  some thing better but our politcos play havoc and  added to this  is the in and out corruption factor. The government is still holding a huge pile of loans and i am in the opinion that Financial sector will run in the same path few years ahead until the government

( 1)  Bring the corruption to a decent level  Very Happy

(2)  Not only talk about Hubs  but already implement the real thing and start talking about what more they could do to develop Hubs still further

(3) been able to pay at least 40 percent of foreign  Debts

 The list will continue .......

Until then wish you all  happy trading

(I welcome criticism other opinions in good spirit.....)
