The US and Russia are deadlocks in many fronts and the tensions are rising; There is a huge risk that the market s world over may collapse or at least for short term there will be a big drop. In Sri Lanka we have budget uncertainty too. Please post your comments.

USA was successful tearing mighty Soviet union into a piece of Russia over long term Geo strategies that Americans placed in around 1950. Now the global situation is vastly changed accordingly USA keep their step back over aggressive stance of Russia. So war saga & its risk is limited to savage exchange of statements as the globe is not yet ready to "go" command.

All the Murdock media and the west are only telling to its people all against Russia and Syrian president Azad.

however the ground situation seems to be different when you balanced all the news that you endeavour to get.

also similar thing in paralle is taking place in Yemen and no one wants to talk about the Saudis

all because it affects their arms export and their internal economy.

now a days  war has become a business for some western countries and their agents.

without war in the world their economy will get badly affected.

peace talks and crocodile tears are all  for the camara only.

Russia and Putin needs Good support from all other countries  to avoid the west unfair practise.

I am sure the west goal is to attack their ultimate country IRAN.  they will never end till this has taken place by using any one possible.

if Clinton comes she will aim to do this.

but Hey who are we ?  and what can we do ? we can only watch and get upset about the things that takes place in the present world  Evil or Very Mad

In his battle with the United States, Vladimir Putin has a new target — Microsoft.
The Kremlin is backing a plan to rid government offices and state-controlled companies of all foreign software, starting with Moscow city government replacing Microsoft products with Russian ones, according to a senior U.S. intelligence official.
The Russians have also moved toward blocking LinkedIn, the U.S.-based networking site that Microsoft is in the process of buying. The company is appealing an injunction, with a decision expected Nov. 10.
The intelligence official said Putin is going after Microsoft because it is the biggest American name in information technology and because it's easy to convince Russians that the company works with the U.S. intelligence community.
Russia is also bracing for the U.S. to retaliate for months of hacking attacks that Washington says were authorized by Putin and designed to influence the American electoral process.
"They are obviously stepping up their game," Fiona Hill, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.
"It is a signal that the Russians really mean business now about nationalizing the internet and making sure they can create their own secure content."
Microsoft told NBC News it doesn't collaborate with the government on any spying.
"We don't spy on anyone. We don't work with any government to spy on others, and we never would," said Dominic Carr, Microsoft's general manager for public affairs.
"We make sure governments can review our software to confirm for themselves that our products are secure. And we've worked hard to increase privacy protections for customers including by suing the US government four times."
But the Russians are keenly aware that Microsoft products, like any software, can be used as weapons in cyber-warfare. A sensitive U.S. Homeland Security document obtained by NBC News confirms that a Microsoft Office attachment was used by Russian hackers to shut down the Ukraine electrical grid last year.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Russian President Vladimir Putin AP; Reuters

Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said he's not surprised Russia is singling out Microsoft since Russia's relationship with the U.S. is at "the lowest ebb since the end of the Cold War."
"Putin as an old KGB officer views the world as a zero-sum game between Russia and the U.S.," he said. "Whatever is good for the U.S. is bad for Russia and vice versa."
The move against Microsoft "may also be a way for Russia to signal to its own population we can't trust American technology — and once again feed into Russian hostility and paranoia towards America and its products," Schiff said.
"So as part economic message, part a shot across the bow, part attack on
American IT, part protectionism ... all, I think, very consistent with the kind of escalation we are seeing from Putin."
If the goal is to deal an economic blow to Microsoft, Putin's campaign doesn't appear to be having much of an effect. The company's stock hit $60 a share on Oct. 21 — an all-time high. U.S. intelligence officials also believe that any attempt to ban Microsoft will be limited because its products are too integrated into Russia's IT infrastructure.

Lavrov: US will have to negotiate with Russia, can’t act alone on global issues

The US will have to negotiate with Russia on finding solutions to international issues as no state is now able to act alone, the Russian foreign minister said, adding that problems in bilateral relations began to mount long before the Ukrainian crisis broke out in 2014.
The international community should not play by Washington’s rules despite the US being a great power, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday, referring to a recent statement by President Vladimir Putin.
“Two or three months ago US President Barack Obama said it is they who set the rules,” Lavrov said, following a meeting with his Greek counterpart, Nikos Kotzias.

Valdai 2016: NATO is biggest barrier to improved relations between Russia & West
“If our American partners think so, they will go through quite painful periods of realizing [the fact] that no one in this world could act alone any longer,” he added.
Both Washington and Moscow are destined “to negotiate anyway,” the foreign minister said, adding “the sooner it happens, the better.”
US-Russia relations are now at their lowest point since the Cold War, according to many observers, including the Russian ambassador to the US, Sergey Kislyak.
Lavrov added that, contrary to widespread opinion, the problems did not surface overnight, but rather began long before the 2014 ‘Euromaidan’ coup in Ukraine that toppled the elected president, Viktor Yanukovich.
“[The problems] emerged when the US saw … President Putin restoring independence in our foreign policy,” Lavrov asserted. The Russian president’s course, the foreign minister emphasized, implies taking into consideration partners’ interests but “not lining up after a leader who is confident of his exceptionalism.”
Despite growing strains in US-Russia relations, Moscow and Washington still have room for maneuver in their discussions on Syria, including the issue of eastern Aleppo, where militants are pinned down by government forces.

Lavrov: West will be ‘Al-Nusra accomplice’ if it fails to separate Syrian rebels from terrorists
“We preserve communications channels on the Syrian issue, including [the issue of] eastern Aleppo. I hope that some results are within reach, and our American partners do not withdraw their approval as they did in case of the September 9 agreements,” Lavrov said, referring to the US-Russian peace plan that included a cessation of hostilities as well as coordinated strikes on Islamist militants in Syria.
The accords proved short-lived as in early October Washington accused Moscow of not living up to its commitments and broke off all talks on the ceasefire.
Russia, however, repeatedly said that Washington had failed to deliver on its promises. Russia's Permanent Mission to the UN said in a statement last week that while Moscow fulfilled its part of the bargain and negotiated with the Syrian authorities to make the cessation of hostilities possible, Washington failed to fulfill its promise to negotiate the same with the US-backed ‘moderate’ Syrian opposition.
“Russia guaranteed the implementation of the [cessation of hostilities] by the Syrian government. The US on the other hand was not capable to insure the implementation of the [cessation of hostilities] by the armed groups.
“Furthermore, the US failed to fulfill their February promise to separate Al-Nusra Front from ‘moderate’ opposition,” the mission noted, adding that there are a number of other issues it regards as US failures in the combined efforts of the two states to bring peace to Syria. These include the failure to establish a valuable exchange of information about ceasefire violations, and the failure to facilitate humanitarian access to east Aleppo.
