Well known economist has revealed that year 2017 & 2018 economic outlook would be better with improvements in the balance of payment & no maturity on foreign loan repayments. In the meantime IMF insists on the necessity of more revenue generation instead of expenditure compression.

This is an affirmative signal to capital market investors for re-entrance in coming years with maintenance of an acceptable reserves.

THE SRI LANKAN ECONOMY CAN NOT EMERGE FROM THE CURRENT CRISIS DUE TO CENTRAL BANK DAY LIGHT ROBBERY. IT WILL MAKE A CHAIN REACTION THROUGH OUT THE ECONOMY. INCREASING OF BANK INTEREST RATES TO RECOVER THE LOSS WILL DETEORATE THE ECONOMIC EXPANSION THROUGH OUT NEXT 5 YEARS IF SRI LANKA DOES NOT FIND CONSIDERABLE FOREIGHN INVESTMENTS. FOREIGN INVESTORS ARE RELUCTANT TO INVEST IN SRI LANKA AT THIS MOMENT DUE TO LACK OF CONFIDENCE ON THE GOVERNANCE IN THE POLITICO-ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT IN SRI LANKA

NO USE SIGNING THE SAME SONG.

EITHER YOU SHOULD LEAVE THIS COUNTRY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT OR STAY HERE AND MAKE BEST OUT OF WHERE EVER IS POSSIBLE. BE IT YOUR INVESTMENT, BE IT YOUR JOB DO THE BEST YOU CAN WITHOUT COMPLAINING!

IT IS GIVEN THAT NO GOVERNMENT NO LEADER WILL DO GOOD TO YOU, IT IS YOU WHO SHOULD TREAT YOURSELF. TRY TO IMPROVE WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING AND BE SUCCESSFUL. IF YOU CANT, THEN LEAVE!

THERE IS NO USE PANICKING OR MAKING OTHERS PANIC!

Doubtless, good governance is shattered many times at short intervals while directly hitting the investors & the market. So far no assurance given to investors of the right path of the action & regulatory framework to be corrected.

Still a slim chance is left for government to come out of the quagmire with characteristic mental attitude that determine how they would interpret & respond to situations.

JHU General Secretary and Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka, in a reference to the Central Bank bond scam, today urged the Government to set up a separate Court specialized in hearing such cases.

Slow progress of the market is to be seen as much budget presentation is getting closer. However, end of the day direction is still groping.
