SEC,CSE to meet Treasury on EPF and ETF funds.

Treasury officials confirmed that amongst the number of matters that are to be discussed, the EPF/ETF issue will be top of the agenda. “We will be looking at it favourably,” a Treasury official told the Business Times.

In my opinion Ravi K is the only soul in this Govt who has some concern to see a vibrant Stock Market. So, let's hope for the best.

In case the reversal of previous suspension may create a new drama & chaos in many circles. Witnessed in the past no agencies in the country run with high standards dwell by strong law enforcement.
Only privileged group fraudulently derived the utmost benefit in collusion with top brasses ignoring the fact of public funds. They possessed high capacity to bend the strict enforcement of law.
What would be the consequence of repeating the identical situation?

I believe it needs cabinet approval. Doesn't it?
As usual opponents may challenge announcement/approval.

personally I believed this is good time to enter CSE for EPF/ETF.

Cabinet will approve this. before raining of elections they has to move ASI.

2017 we have three elections.
Referendum (March-April)
Pradeshiya saba (June)
Palath saba (September, August)

if EPF/ETF enter this time. contributors get more benefit(I mean before elections). after election no good to enter(we can see same-thing like before.)

any ideas....

Pension contributors will be benefited if investment decisions are transparent, accountable & keep distant from external influences. Does Sri Lanka possess such a platform?

Sri Lanka has only Railway Station platforms as a last refuge for CSE investors.

Out of many it is the public who should choice a right platform (extinguishing orthodox) for a much needed fast track.
