3 LDEV for the Win on Wed Nov 15, 2017 6:50 pm

Looks like the big players brought the share down from 14.50 to collect more at a lower level before the results.
The results far exceeded expectations with a PAT of LKR102Mn for 2QFY18, with the first 6-month PAT amounting to LKR311Mn.
As we know plantation profits are cyclical with 1Q always producing better results due to the bumper harvest in April each year.
LDEV profits for FY18 should amount to c. 550-600Mn.
EPS for the year should amount to LKR9-10.
In the medium term the share should trade between LKR20-30/-
Happy trading people.

I dont think many expected this fabulous results from LDEV especilaay after BALA and MASK reported only LKR 30mn and LKR 23Mn only for the 2nd qtr 2017....while UDPL and some other plantations reported losses. This performance by LDEV is indeed remarkable . They have been performing consistently ( reporting a profit of close to LKR 100mn even in march 2017....before the tea prices really started to appreciate.... and it owns one of the best plantations- Agarapatana.
If BALA is at 27, MASK is at 21 and UDPL is at 42, definitely LDEV should hit 20-30 easily as you have quite rightly predicted....
( mind you BALA hit 39 , MASK 27 and UDPL 54 , last month... hence don't be surprised of LDEV share price in the next 3 months with the quality season approaching.
People who dumped the share from 14.40 to 12.50 expecting a loss or mediocre profit should be regretting now.

not the time to enter LDEV but if you have been playing this counter, there are small chances to make some money as this shares is now searching for a price to settle down. so we see lot of volatility.but if interest goes down them the slow down trend would start.
